Animal Rights Activists Piggy Back on Global Warming

Just when we think we’ve heard the last word in lunacy in the pseudo crisis of global warming, someone comes along to make us shake our heads in disbelief once again. According to Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the left wing United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, if we want to make a personal and effective sacrifice to combat “climate change,” we should all eliminate meat from our diet one day a week. That is true, claim the global-warming fear-mongers, because, according to the UN Food and Agricultural Organization, meat production and its associated industries account for one fifth of global greenhouse gas emissions. We should be especially aware that the flatulence of cows, along with other ruminants, emits methane, which is twenty three times more effective as a global warming mechanism than is carbon dioxide.

Can we conservatives be forgiven for thinking that this might be merely a bait-and-switch ploy to further the agenda of the animal-rights activists? Cry me a river.
